THe “child” threw an absolutely insane fit - including flailing and hitting. Obviously the child had no home training - and she was perp walked because she lost her mind and wouldn’t chill. No sympathy.
My children did not fear teachers.
They feared me.
They behaved because they knew what would happen when they got home.
Conversely, they were not afraid of the school officials if they stood their ground against the bully, teacher, coach, or principal. I had their back.
I’m in a school system, I’ve seen these fits. 98% are minority based problems, kids sent to school almost feral.
The child most likely had an IEP because she has Childhood Obstructive Sleep Apnea Syndrome which can result in behavioral problems. This means disciplinary guidelines would be clearly spelled out in such a plan or in school policy for students with these plans.
A behavior caused by an illness is not the same as deliberate misbehavior done in defiance of a teacher’s command.
If this is fhe case, I agree. Allowing this incredibly negative behavior validates it.
