Think state of Texas has ban Tik Tok on state devices. I think that is fine for the state to make a call on that.
It’s not for the individual, which is fine too. If one wants to let China look at your data, maybe get into your bank accounts or whatever, knock yourself out. None of my biz.
Temu is another. Not only do you directly support China with purchases, you also allow the same harvesting of data.

President George W. Bush spoke of China in his day as a “competitor” before that Nixon went so far as to say that China had to be included in the community of nations and that in his words “we can’t run the world without China”.

W Bush was seeing the rise of China’s economy and the threat it posed to US economic dominance.

The intelligence agency generated drama about China getting everyone’s data doesn’t do much for me.

China was Communist when Nixon decided to let them into the world economy and still is Communist as the Deep State, both major political parties and so on have decided to go to war with China for economic competition reasons including all those high-end computer chips on Taiwan.

Spare me the drama about how evil China is this is all about the economy this is all about $$$$$$$$$$$$.
