Nearly all “advertising” and “marketing” people are young, metrosexual, big-city, urban. They all believe this stuff, are self-righteous, and believe they are the vanguard of hip and trendy. Its pure bubble-think.
There is no one around who even thinks “its a bad idea.”
Remember that pic of the Hitler rally with all the crowd offering fealty, except that one guy? I don't think he would make it in marketing.
