55 years later the writers of this episode were very prescient.

From Agnes-with Love...original twilight zone had a more whimsical look at AI problems.
TZ had a few episodes about machine-human relations

It’s so sad to see what Star Trek became in later series and movies.

But.... I’m happy they don’t redo the original. Given today’s globohomo, enviro, socialist follow the science culture, Kirk will be black, Spock a woman, Lt Ohura a homo, and the show will be about saving the whales, oh wait...

“In the fall of 1986, one year after Back to the Future, Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home not only became a transtemporal box-office hit, it also propelled climate change and concern for endangered species into the mainstream. In short, Star Trek tried to literally save the whales in 1986, and it basically worked.”

The originals were real sci-fi.

After that came mass produced pop culture themed, diversity and inclusion junk.

The other day I got my wife to watch The City On The Edge Of Forever. Great science fiction. She has never watched much Star Trek. I sold it as great SciFi combined with a love story. She enjoyed it.

I believe right now I will dial up The Omega Glory. I always love Kirk reciting the Founding documents with force and emotion.

Great episode. Superb acting from William Marshall.

My only problem with the episode is it seemed like every other episode of TOS ended with Kirk talking a computer to death.
