Thinking of the multitude of decades that I have been around, I have only seen one car fire. It was on a highway. Never seen a parked car at home on fire.

I wonder if records are kept of all the EV’s that were registered in Florida’s hurricane paths. Also wondering what the frequency of car fires occur with those that were exposed to hurricane conditions.

I used to travel Texas a lot for work so I have seen some really interesting vehicle accidents including one fire. Once I was travelling North between San Antonio and Dallas on I-35. Traffic slowed so the gawkers could see a semi trailer full of furniture totally ablaze - really impressive. I never found out how the fire could have started inside the trailer ... odd.

I also once saw a cattle hauler tipper over. Many cows were wandering the road causing traffic stoppage. Of interest was a local person herding about a dozen cows down the road to what I assume was his ranch. I guess he was helping corral them for someone to claim later ... uh-huh.
