A lot of foreign olive oil is illegally mixed with canola oil. I like my olive oil, and don’t mind paying a bit more for the good stuff. So I always bought certified California olive oil.

The price has gone up from around $7 a bottle to around $11 a bottle. And now it’s no longer pure California olive oil. It’s now a “global blend”.

Thanks Joe Biden. And thanks Gavin Newsom. You’ve ruined yet another good thing.

A bit hit or miss, but I can locate 100% California olive oil with some patience. Bought some yesterday. It is very good. Fresher than the imports.

Yep, California Ranch is what the wife buys. I pointed out to her the Global Blend label, she never noticed it. Didn’t know Argentina and Chile made olive oil, let alone quality Olive oil. Maybe they don’t?
