Pay more. Then you will get better employees.
It’s not the pay. I’ve got late twenty early thirties making over $100k but they’re still constantly looking to job hop, even though there’s really nothing else in this area paying someone with that little experience anything more.
They even bring their personally owned laptops in and play on them while at work, so we don’t even get the full 40 hours per week from them. When we tell them to not bring the laptops in and play on them, when they have tasks for us backed up, they stop for maybe a month. Then they either bring the laptops back, or leave.
One guy comes in wearing shorts a lot, another a trucker hat and jeans, all violations of the dress code, but they don’t really care. You can tell these kids had no discipline at all at home growing up. They talk non stop too, even repeating themselves over and over, when they’re complaining about being asked to do somehing. Spoiled rotten babies, is probably the best description.
