This is a rural county bordering Athens, Georgia (home of the Bulldawgs). The location is very wooded with a lot of timber property and homes scattered sparsely throughout the area. It's a place where children still play outside every afternoon and evening until dark. Of course, until the bobcat is killed parents will be putting a stop to that.
I understand the injured children are being treated at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.
The locals will probably hunt down the bobcat and kill it sometime over the next few days. The scream of a bobcat is easy to recognize and it is a eerie sound in the dark of the night.

You are lucky. In our state the wild life officials only give the town of the attack.
And the teachers do not tel of classroom lice infestations. I think in both cases it is purportedly to HIPPA confidentiality. Bimut really about control and keep populace off base

However, there is the risk that the bobcat has infected other wild animals, if they survive the bobcat attack in the first place.

Because many people think that rabies shots are very painful:
Rabies shots are not painful at all.
They are no longer given in the stomach.
I took the series of shots in my arm a few years ago and they were the least painful I’ve ever had.
Literally didn’t feel them.
