They continually cry poverty but are always able to scrape up the fees to pay 600$/hr defense attorneys to smear victims of sexual abuse by their employees (aka priests)

As a former baptized (by one of two of my uncles who was a RC priest) RC altar boy, raided devout, and later a lector and CC teacher, and who was a weekly and HDOB mass-going RC for about 6 years after I become experientially and manifestly born again (in late 76) thru personal deep heart-purifying, regenerating effectual faith, (Acts 10:43-47; 15:7-9) bless God, which is imputed for righteousness, (Romans 4:5) and is shown in baptism (which a later properly was) and following the Lord, (Acts 2:38-47; Jn. 10:27,28) then why should and would I call Rome home ?

It remains that distinctive Catholic teachings are not manifest in the only wholly God-inspired, substantive, authoritative record of what the NT church believed (which is Scripture, in particular Acts through Revelation, which best shows how the NT church understood the gospels).

In addition, Rome manifestly treats even proabortion, prohomosexual public figures as members in life and in death (showing the Vatican's understanding of canon law to their flock), which you must count as brethren.

Unless you become part of one the many TradCath sects, which has no living pope, at least one they affirm.

Come home to who?

The homosexual, child molesting, coke using Vatican? Or to the EO with whom the Roman rite is in schism with each claiming they are the actual, original version of Catholicism?

I am home being in a reconciled through faith in Jesus Christ relationship with God. God is my father, Christ is my brother. I need no corrupt religion like Catholicism added to it.

As an ex-Catholic, and now born-again child of God, my home is in heaven and I am already positionally there but joyfully awaiting the day when I will be physically as well.

Now we know that if the earthly tent we live in is dismantled, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands. For in this tent we groan, longing to be clothed with our heavenly dwelling, because when we are clothed, we will not be found naked. So while we are in this tent, we groan under our burdens, because we do not wish to be unclothed but clothed, so that our mortality may be swallowed up by life. And God has prepared us for this very purpose and has given us the Spirit as a pledge of what is to come. Therefore we are always confident, although we know that while we are at home in the body, we are away from the Lord. For we walk by faith, not by sight. We are confident, then, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord. So we aspire to please Him, whether we are here in this body or away from it. (II Corinthians 5:1-9)
