Your situation reminds me of Rush and Punkin. Although I guess Rush went first. Rush would occasionally bring up Punkin up on his show. You could tell he really adored that cat. Like you do Tiger. Nonetheless 18 is a good run.

Ah, yes...I do enjoy those orange cats...:)

Their personalities are a bit different in some way than other cats, in the same way that Siamese have their own personality traits they somehow share.

That is always a tough issue. My wife and I have to consider that as well. It would break my heart to have to work to find a place to place them before I became insensible to the nature of the issue and unable to cogitate on it.

A double-edged sword there, indeed. You don’t do it, and they could end up immediately put down, or in some cat shelter, their future, good or bad, at the whim of fate. Bothers me just thinking of it.

I get so much enjoyment out of them.

We had Binky for 18 years. She was an outside cat that adopted us as a kitten. Someone probably dropped her off. The vet said she was very lucky to live that long being outdoors. She gave us many years of love and laughter and typical cat goings on . Enjoy the time they have left. Prayers.
