Israel has more than the assets needed to “take care of business”. (Partly because we’ve been forking over billions a year for decades.)
The game is that we ‘give them’ $3 Billion, but the catch is that they MUST buy American made weapons or develop new ones on a 50/50 basis. So in reality, it is a game the US has played for decades with several countries in order to prop up the defense industries. Does anyone really think that we just give over billions to them out of the goodness of our hearts? It is good for Congressmen because it sounds like support, but in reality, who is supported? Israel or the American Defense Industries, or both? Congressional paybacks? Hmmmmm. Foreign aid has always been a US hammer to gain influence. Just like Russia does and China, and Britain, and especially France.
