I am looking for a special radio that also streams. I have a set up in my kitchen. An old pad computer which is connected to a jbl speaker. I listen to streaming music and my podcast programs as well as some live shows like steyn. .
However it is not portable. I would love to find all this in one package. Like a portable radio. So I can carry it room to room. The screen and wifi connection. The ability to have all my stations and podcasts right there. Great quality speakers. If there was built in amfm that would be a wonderful bonus. Rechargeable and plug in able.
I cannot find anything at all like this. Any ideas?

Why not just a simple iPad? As long as you have Internet access, either WiFi or get a wireless version, you’ll have access to things. I use wireless iPad and perfect without interruption.

I would not recommend a iPad but a very cheap Google pad with a good Bluetooth speaker

Failing that, you might try a set of speakers. They have some where you can plug one into the device and the other is portable.

I bought one of their Internet Radios recently. Haven’t set it up yet, but one of the reviews indicated that every time you unplug it and move it, all the programming gets lost.
Again, I haven’t set it up yet, and can’t vouch for that. But mine is intended to stay in one place.

Of course if you have hundreds of dollars to spend an Apple won’t let you down. But much less the little speakers in my 10” Fire Tablet sounds pretty darn good.

It didn’t matter to me, so I didn’t explore further. You might be able to find one that you can move around without having to re-program.
