This confusing idea that salt is involved and viperin may promote growth of cancer cells certainly needs more examination. One question is what roll does fever play in virus reproduction and viperin production? A recent study of nine common cancers showed all those cancer cells were zinc deficient, even when surrounding normal cells were normal or abundant in zinc levels. Also, since the use of ionophores to get zinc into infected cells has all kinds of possibilities, that needs more thought. A lot to think about here.

I have a link somewhere of the benefits of running a fever.

The long and short of it is that the fever puts your immune system into high gear to much more efficiently deal with a viral attack. It’s best to let it run its course as long as it can be done safely, rather than knock it down. Knocking it down with OTC s like Advil or Motrin, interferes with the healing process. The fever generates a stronger and more efficient immune response.

Keep in mind, though, that fevers need to be monitored and make sure they are not a sign of a more serious condition like a bacterial infection.

However, the discovery that a protein in your cells named viperin synthesizes a natural chain-terminating antiviral has revealed a new side of your immune system.

+++++++++++++++=

I wonder just how much we humans, thinking we’re oh-so-smart, have messed our “God’s Divine Design” immune system with all we subject it to ...’vaccines’, Big Harma drugs, poor lifestyles, junk/poison that’s called ‘food’, etc. Based on the poor state of health of most Americans these days, I think we’ve done a bang up job of banging up our bodies, with the latest bioweapon shot the coup de grâce for many people. Now, another innate immune system discovery, one that goes back to ancient times ... formerly thought to be only something man had thought up ... our God Designed bodies were way ahead of the curve all along.

I have known about keeping a fever for many years, over 50. This year I had a fever of 101.5 and left it alone to fall naturally. If it had gone up to 103 I would have knocked it down some with Vitamin C. I would give 500 mg. Vitamin C crushed and mixed with water and a little honey and garlic powder in a baby bottle when my children were 1 to 3. This would knock a 103 fever down to 101 which I would leave alone. Also would lower a high fever of mine by 2 degrees. Never give raw honey to a baby under 1 year.

Exactly true !
Most significant to my mind :" ..all those cancer cells were zinc deficient,
even when surrounding normal cells were normal or abundant in zinc levels. "
"Also, since the use of ionophores to get zinc into infected cells has all kinds of possibilities,.."
That seems to be a significant anomaly
Worthy of further study !

Aside from quercetin, I have heard green tea is a zinc ionophore.
