Is it your point that while viperin fights viruses — it also promotes the growth of cancer cells?

That doesn’t sound like a very good tradeoff unless you can get the the viperin to show up to kill the virus and then quickly disappear before you get a cancer bloom.

Virus’s are pretty tricky too.

This confusing idea that salt is involved and viperin may promote growth of cancer cells certainly needs more examination. One question is what roll does fever play in virus reproduction and viperin production? A recent study of nine common cancers showed all those cancer cells were zinc deficient, even when surrounding normal cells were normal or abundant in zinc levels. Also, since the use of ionophores to get zinc into infected cells has all kinds of possibilities, that needs more thought. A lot to think about here.
