No body knows the day or the hour. Not Daniel, nor John or Paul, nor Sir Isaac Newton.

Interestingly, Newton did not predict a day or hour either.

Why is it whenever someone suggests knowing the season, the knee jerk reaction is so often with the contention that nobody knows the day or hour?

It's a wasted argument because nobody is predicting that so the comment is irrelevant.

I belive the “Day or the hour” words in the Bible denote a time or the timing of the end times in general.

Daniel 12:9

[9] He said, Go your way, Daniel, for the words are shut up and sealed until the time of the end.

[10] Many shall purify themselves and make themselves white and be refined, but the wicked shall act wickedly. And none of the wicked shall understand, but those who are wise shall understand. (ESV)
