I think I remember reading that he was one of the few major college coaches who never had an NCAA investigation. He also had one of the highest graduation rates among the major college athletic programs.
We’ve lost two of the greats over the past year, who at one time were together in Lubbock: Coach Knight and Mike Leach. I always thought of Mike Leach as the “Bobby Knight” of college football coaches, and both were big-time Trump supporters.
