I thought Biden ‘developed’ that one?
Imagine a world without muslims.
Israel isn’t a country, it’s a lifeboat for the Jewish people.
For nearly 2000 years the Jews had been being kicked from pillar to post, perpetually subjected to all sorts of persecutions from expulsions to inquisitions to pogroms. As the modern era approached and mass communications came to be, these attacks grew more widespread and better coordinated.
The wider world has no excuse for ignoring what was happening to the Jews in Europe in the run-up to WWII. The United States in particular had been well-aware of the existential threat they faced since even before the 1938 Evian Conference (which was an opportunity the wider world — to include the US — willfully squandered).
After the war, the horrors revealed in the Nazi extermination camps made it clear to any rational individual that the world had forsaken a basic humanitarian duty and could not be trusted to act to prevent the extermination of the Jews. That their only hope for survival was to take it on themselves to secure their Zion, and by any means at their disposal, as a Jewish homeland that they could rule and control in its totality.
Their God gave them the opportunity and the ability to seize that land. Whether you believe in miracles or not, you have to find it somewhat miraculous that the Zion they secured was the same one they had been expelled from two millennia previous.
Israel is the last best chance for the survival of the Jewish peoples. If they don’t survive, if they can’t flourish there, then they are done for. Which is why I argue that Israel isn’t a country, it’s the lifeboat for the Jews.
And it is America’s sacred obligation to aid them in keeping that boat afloat. Because if we don’t, neither history nor God will forgive us.

Imagine a world without the US.
Maybe if the Islamic world would try to concentrate on not killing most everyone in sight, they too could contribute something worthwhile to the world. I knew the Israelis had contributed quite a bit but was rather astonished to learn how much. I have to wonder how much more they might have accomplished if they were not so busy defending themselves. There are good reasons for defending them.
