For a high school course, it ought to be a page or two in the Modern European History curriculum, which would also have to cover Muskovite expansionism, which they learned from the Mongols in medieval times and cannot seem to forget. Communism in "Russia" was just a new chapter of an old, old tale.
As for claiming modern "Russians" as a race, they are just a part of the East Slavic ethnicity that also covers Belorus and Ukraine. So teaching the history of "Russia" (meaning the Muscovite empire) and its' treatment of its' East Slavic neighbors couldn't be racist.
I’ll be grateful if it doesn’t blame the war on the Vikings for colonizing Russia and establishing Kyiv a couple of centuries before Moscow even existed.
You forgot to mention that both the Ukrainians and the Russians were tainted with mostly Viking genes brought in by riverboat from Norway via the Slavic part of Europe.
“Communism in “Russia” was just a new chapter of an old, old tale.””
Total bullSchiff as is the case with most of what you post.
