New Ukraine “aid” bill would bring the total to over $173 billion, over $1,300 per American household

@RichAStern

New Ukraine “aid” bill would bring the total to over $173 billion, over $1,300 per American household and over $11,500 per Ukrainian household.

This will continue to drive higher inflation and mortgage rates across the US – making every American family pay the price.

If this new bill is implemented, our total aid to Ukraine will be more than the annual wages paid out to every American worker in all agriculture, mining, and oil and gas extraction industries.

Our total aid to Ukraine would be more than the annual wages paid out to every American manufacturing worker that produces motor vehicles, parts, and other transportation equipment.

Every time the federal government spends money, it forcefully takes that money from hard-working Americans.

Even if you don’t pay federal income taxes, you still pay through inflation taxes and slower overall economic growth.

Since the beginning of COVID and dramatic federal deficit and Fed money printing increases, prices are up:

37.4% - used cars and trucks

30.4% - energy

24.4% - food

20.1% - overall housing costs

18.8% - overall

But it gets even worse...

New federal spending is driving prices and interest rates, especially mortgage rates, sky-high. Since Biden took office, interest payments on a new median mortgage have tripled.

Interest payments on a new median mortgage have gone from 16.4% of a median worker’s pay to a staggering 41.9% - boxing tens of millions of Americans out of homeownership. Richard A. Stern

Bottom line - More Ukraine aid will mean more Fed money printing and more federal borrowing that drives inflation and interest rates and starves the economy of the money needed for growth.

This is all for a great cause—increasing the wealth of military industrial company shareholders!

Here’s what I suggest:
Take the $1500 that I still am awaiting to receive from Obama for his ObamaCare Act, and simply apply that promised $1500 to my Ukraine bill. Then don’t ask me for any more. We’ll just call it even.

It’s a tax. You pay one or another

They should be honest about it and levy a direct, one-off tax but they will do it through inflation as the direct way is not feasible or popular.

I saw an article posted here that USA is spending around $450 billion on the newly arrived immigrants.

Serious, if we stop spending on crap, we could cut Federal Income taxes 100% and we would be no worse in what our government provides to us.

Full court press by the Moscowphiles to sacrifice Ukraine. What country will be next? Moldova? Lithuania? Romania? Or will he move East - snapping up some of the ‘stans that managed to free themselves when the Soviet Union collapsed? Lotta natural resources in Kazakhstan, doncha know. One or two of Putin’s boyars would love to get total control of those.

If I see a Ukraine supporter being robbed, I will keep on walking

If I see a Ukraine supporter being murdered, I will point and laugh

If I see a Ukraine supporter burning in a house on fire, I will watch and do nothing

If I see a Ukraine supporter dying in the street I will walk right over them

Worse than insane.

Ukraine cannot win and they will lose as soon as we stop funding pretty much the entire country and it's war effort.

All we are doing is delaying the inevitable in another profoundly destructive forever proxy war with hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian and Russian kids getting offed or mangled for life in the process.

Worse, our politicians and military leaders are enabling the carnage when they should be driving for a negotiated settlement.

But no settlement is possible because Russia is winning and after two years of being bled, Russia is not going to extend the favorable cease fire terms they were willing to accept in march of 22.

No way can Biden our pols accept the harsh terms the victorious Russians will demand in an election year.

So more Ukrainians and Russians will have to die or have their lives destroyed to keep the ball rolling. And it's all being done in our names .

I am an unreconstructed cold warrior who has never met a weapons system I didn't like but I am ashamed and appalled at the evil our country is perpetrating

they will do it through inflation as the direct way is not feasible or popular.

A tax increase through a seven-person board is so much easier than trying to go through 535 members of Congress.

Exactly. Perfectly put. America and fellow Americans first, or you are an enemy and a traitor. We have homeless vets being thrown on the street, for migrants no less, and it is the same traitors who insist on fighting Putin, who are bringing in the migrants.

It is time to draw the lines. Go fight Putin with your own money, you are not American enough to have access to the US Treasury.

Okay, so $1,300 per household. Average household has 4 people, so that is $625 per person.

Who cares about any of those countries? Many are Muslim, and bear us no love. America is literally collapsing and people are worried about nations we could not even travel to safely.

I don’t buy it. I think this is intelligence, which maintains a robust network of civilian assets in the US that is bigger than the Stasi had, pretending to be citizens, al simply fleecing the rest of America.
