54% of households headed by immigrants - naturalized citizens, legal residents, and illegal immigrants - used one or more major welfare program. This compares to 39% for U.S.-born households...The rate is 59% for non-citizen households (e.g. Green Card holders and illegal immigrants).

Anything more than 0% is unacceptable
Obama’s Free $4it Army
When I got my wife her Green card the old fashioned way, legally, I was required to SIGN OVER my income and assets for 10 years in the event she became a Public Charge, I WOULD HAVE HAD TO PAY. Having a Sponsor is still today the Law of the Land and I believe Public Employee’s should PAY ALL OF IT.
I disagree with that, as there are some legitimate circumstances that make it impossible for some to provide for themselves. But the numbers should be in the single digit percentage wise.
Americans: 39% Welfare Queens.
Jeeeeeeezzzzz.
Remember you have to only use one of them.
Most people probably are using the reduced priced meals for which you are eligible if "Your annual income is $55,550 or less with a family of four".
I do know that when we were fostering we were highly pressured to enroll the children in every government program out there.
I remember helping a LEGAL immigrant I supervised with all his immigration paper work. It was a long and complicated process and he had to prove he would never take public welfare. And he didn’t. Now... Why bother, walk in illegally and get everything given to you.
Imagine if they counted the welfare for the “green” companies.
My German mother took the pledge to not be a Public Charge seriously.
39% is politically misleading - on purpose, most likely.
50% of the Americans born in 2023 have no European ancestors.
Immigrant here, pretty sure a condition of my green card was that I would not be a burden on the state
Re: Burden on the state
I believe the USA is required by Treaty to support - or issue a work visa to - anyone who claims asylum, until their asylum case can be litigated, which can take years, even when there is not a five year case backlog.
For legal immigrants - minor children or a pregnant woman usually turn the federal welfare rules upside down.
Also, many states approve Food Stamps, Medicaid, subsidized housing, etc., for legal and illegal immigrants, even when federal rules say no. I still do not know how they can do that without federal approval or federal money.
Agree but Biden thinks parasites are worth the vote it’s a party rule.
