No one can beat school loan forgiveness or any other large-scale freebies.
Young voters right now overwhelmingly prefer Biden: The Economist/YouGov pollby Sarah Fortinsky

They don’t want to be drafted.
Nothing will top “student loan forgiveness “ unfortunately, even if they know they will never get it.
Maybe get the government out of loan business all together so colleges
Would have to lower costs but that wouldn’t appeal to people in debt already
“The 81-year-old Biden — a relative moderate and a staunch institutionalist”
You’ve got to be kidding.
That thread is no longer there...???
Funny, two articles, both from the Hill, talking about the same thing but taking opposite viewpoints. Posted within minutes of each other.

The Memo: Trump gets surprise boost with young voters amid Biden disillusionment

But you gotta get these Trump voters to the polls.
There was a story out earlier this week that Trump has a 23 point lead among those who DID NOT VOTE in 2020, while Biden has a 6 point among those who DID VOTE in 2020.
Anyone "illusioned" with Biden in the first place shouldn't be voting.
How about a one-time loan forgiveness and then permanently shut the government guaranteed student loan business down! Also post the names and their loan amounts forgiven of all who benefited so when people ask why I can’t get a college loan one can point at those names and numbers! Maybe social opprobrium can be used here! Like time spent in stocks & pillories in the public square in the old days. Employers also would know what they’re hiring responsibility-wise.
Just an idea!
The fundamental misunderstanding of these survey results made by assorted media outlets is that their evaluations are pointed in the wrong direction.
They are interpreting results according to historical politics.
Those are gone. Trump’s populism has destroyed them and they are never coming back.
Political careers are things of disgust. They are deserving of contempt. When the article called Biden an institutionalist, they did not even realize that was the only matter of importance. Rejection of the Swamp is the common denominator of those not only leaving Biden, but also going to Trump. This is a two part decision. It’s not merely leaving Biden and longing for an alternative.
They leave Biden BECAUSE of Trump. Trump is not the default alternative. He attracted those voters because they know the Swamp must be drained.
I even saw Sununu yesterday saying he and establishment Republicans want to drain the Swamp. It was absurd. He doesn’t even realize the situation.
Here’s reality: once a young voter graduates college, his interests revolve around getting a job so he can get his own apartment and have his own car.
Odd how that’s sort of the inverse of how things have been historically. Could this have something to do with why we no longer seem to have an automatic turnout advantage in off year elections now too?

I could only speculate that part of the issue is that with so much talk of "stolen elections" and "rigged machines," those who are inclined to believe that the fix is in are less inclined to vote because they believe it is an act of futility.
Mr. Biden, between nap, has taught these kids several things:
1) Politicians lie.
2) Biden has no idea what he’s saying most of the time.
3) The democrats are positively COUNTING on young people believing what they say
4) GET IT IN WRITING!
Hopefully, many of them figured out the hard way that democrats see them as useful idiots.

Paraphrasing an old Lite beer commercial, "They feel very strongly both ways."
