You are a sick man, I’d bet you liked the scrambled eggs and Ham also.
My favorite was What I’d call Salisbury steak and gravy. God knows what it really was.

Loved the eggs and ham, not for the taste but for the protein, I needed lots of calories to maintain and was always looking for extras.

In garrison when I was a temporary battery clerk I issued myself two meal cards, one for the regular mess hall and one for the hamburger/chile dog mess hall so that I could eat two lunches at work every day, I also had separate rations since I lived off post with my new wife.

in the field i collected all the extra C-rations I could get.
