Silicones’ use however is limited mainly to elastomers and pressure sensitive adhesives

Also lubricants and heat-transfer fluids. I was unaware that anything degraded them. Thanks.

Don’t know about others, but when I accidentally swallowed a plastic item, it just came out the other end. No big deal.
