Well, both PiS and Civic Platform have used the security services to spy on each other when they were in power and both have engaged in corrupt practices when in power.

This may relate to phone conversations wiretapped the last time Civic Platform controlled Parliament that showed them coordinating interest rate moves with the central bank to benefit them in an upcoming election.

Orban's authoritarianism grew out of similar abuses by Hungary's globalist parties the last time they were in power.

I would add this is an incredibly stupid move on Tusk’s part because it will look to many Poles like the regime is simply arresting its political opponents on nebulous, concocted charges and ignoring Parliamentary immunity.
