I used to compare RUSH to Johnny Carson when speaking with my Father. His generation lived on Carson, I said RUSH was the new Johnny Carson when it came to entertainment and sheer brilliance. Yes they had differences, Carson a comedian interviewer of “talent” and RUSH a conservative commentator with humor.
BUT, neither of their replacements (any and all trying to do similar things) can hold a candle to their talent.
They can never be replaced, just like you can’t replace Babe Ruth or Jack Nicklaus or The Beatles.
At least we got to enjoy him when he was doing what he did best on the air.
Every time I hear Iowa caucuses, I think Hawkeye Cauci.
You are missing much. He was a one of a kind.
He was that once-in-a-century mixture of Ben Franklin and Mark Twain.
I often wonder what he would say about things happening today and the state of our country, especially the lawfare being waged and the weaponization of the DOJ and FBI.
What a wonderful picture! His passing hits hard when I see a good picture, even though I “knew” him almost entirely through his voice. Oh, how I miss his words!
