Rush was so valuable that he was
paid $50M/yr for 8 years beginning
in 2008, etc.
Progressives failed in trying to
start their own network (Al Franken???)
I recall when Jocelyn Elders (”masturbation should be taught”)
resigned. The news broke at 3 pm ET
on a Friday because they knew Rush
would have a field day with it.

This is IMHO the most prophetic thing Rush has ever said. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s7pur18_UK4

Nobody ever hears anything about Walter Cronkite or Barbara Walters or Peter Jennings or Dan Rather, etc. Those leftwing losers are a dime a dozen.

Rush created a media empire (audio, books, videos) that impact patriotic America loving families to this day.

Those other “journalist”, not so much.

No doubt from a Xiden boot polisher. But hey, nobody’s perfect as I thought Jimmah Carter was the worst president in modern times, boy was I wrong.

Gwen Carter Clements has said, written and done nothing of national note in her entire life. This commentary by her also is without note or merit.

Midwestern decency and common sense. Something you rarely see on the East...or West...coasts.

Gwen Carter Clements is one of those garden variety men fearing whack jobs who is too cowardly to post her own profile picture or create even the simplest original thoughts or memes. However, she conjured this rambling on her very own, to underscore her obtuse, sad vacant little life. No friends, no family, scant followers. Completely forgettable in every way.

Rush coalesced, galvanized and unified a huge number of Americans FR many years and was a conduit for immeasurable political achievement, progress and growth.

The only thing that bothered me about Rush was that just when he was going to get to the next level - above the Conservosphere - he would make an egregious unforced error.

The time he got on the PBS news hour and referred to all the other panelists with varied opinions as "you all". The time he had a chance to get a gig on Monday Night Football and got caught up in the black QB controversy. The time when everyone started talking him up for a political office and he started punching down on Sandra Fluke.

It's as if he consciously or subconsciously decided he was happy just being the voice of conservatism and didn't want to play a larger role in US politics.

No one has been able to fill the shoes of Rush Limbaugh. Dennis Prager broadcasts during his time slot locally. He is very intelligent, but his pessimism and doom-and-gloom outlook contrast sharply with Rush's upbeat attitude. I like Sebastian Gorka and Mark Steyn, but their accents are annoying. Mark Levin is insightful, but he has a lousy radio voice. Brian Kilmeade and Sean Hannity are too pro-establishment, although I like hearing Sean and Lynda converse. Sonnie Johnson, of Sonnie's Corner, is too shrill, and I don't think she's very conservative, even though she claims she is.

My current favorite talk show hosts are Grant Stinchfield & Jennifer Horn on KRLA, Andrew Wilkow on Sirius, and Stacy Washington, also on Sirius.

I remember buying a device that Rush endorsed that allowed us to record his show and then listen to it later in the day.

I also had a list of stations around the country that carried Rush’s show so we could listen to him in the car when we were traveling - often he was easy to find because his voice was so loud and distinct.

And yes, so many who called us low IQ, uneducated “mind-numbed robots marching in lock step” when we “heard our master’s voice” - never listened to him.

I donated every year to his leukemia fund raising drive b/c my dad died of leukemia - I got a t-shirt for my $40 donation, collected several of them and wore them everywhere, including in California - got nothing but thumbs up.

I doubt this idiot has ever heard a word Rush said.
