The battery also degrades quickly in heat.

So if you live in the Sunbelt where it gets hot don’t buy an electric car.

They also won’t charge or run well in cold winters.

So if you live up north where it gets cold don’t buy an electric car.

Salt spray from the ocean can cause corrosion of batteries.

So if you live near the ocean where there’s salt spray don’t buy an electric car.

If you live in a place where there’s no salt and temperatures remain between 40 and 80 degrees year round, then you can get an electric car.

That basically means a few miles inland in Southern California. But then if you live there, you’ll likely get the car stolen and driven to Mexico.
