My company is advising a large natural gas pipeline company on a carbon capture sequestration well. That is basically where they take the CO2 out of the natural gas before it gets to the end user and pump it into the ground. Based on the onerous regulations, you would have thought they were pumping nuclear waste. Money is no option with these people. And at the end of the day, we the taxpayers will pay them to pump the “poison” back into the ground. It makes me very sad.
In recent years I have come to believe that much of this type of stuff is just a scam intended to enrich the scammers at the taxpayers expense.
I now think much of what the government does is to enrich scammers that have created a strong control over the government by bribing and influencing members of congress to give them special laws and policies.
China and India are the actual producers of C02 on this planet. If they were serious, they would be talking about China and India instead of the US.
