Whenever we would go to Kroger's for groceries, my wife always gives them her "Kroger card" at the register. I told her I thought it was a real bad idea to let someone build a data base on everything you consume. I really believe that, sooner or later, the government is going to use that information against us..
There are lots of other shops that are starting to do the same thing. They want your name and phone number even if your using cash. It's not a good idea... :(

It’s either that or paying 20% more, at least with the prices that I’ve seen. The best option, in my opinion, is to do what I do and simply AVOID Kroger, at least here in Texas where we have plenty of other options.
