My cousin is married to a woman from Mexico.
Her family lives in an “unsafe” are in the interior of the country. They occasional visit and have to drive to the end destination. They occasionally drive past heavily armed non uniformed trucks of “soldiers” who she says are cartel people. Also, if cartel people want something you have that they perceive as valuable to them, they just take it from you and there’s nothing to be done about it.

Never in a million years would I go there. I think the Mexican people and We would be better off if the US annexed Mexico as an existential threat to us and ferociously, rithlessly eliminated the cartels. Then garrison it with bilingual speakers and start over in a non corrupt manner of managing with Capitalism down to the individual villages.

Cartel members are right in the town just down the road...Malvern, Arkansas is just off I-30 and a long time stop over for drug mules coming out of Texas heading to these Blue Northern Cities..Safe houses in various locations, safe from the local Police who are on the payroll and safe from praying eyes till the heat cools off to continue the trips North has been since the drug trade route really took off in the 1970’s.
Guess I will be a little more prudent about carrying a spare mag from now on...LOL, like that would do any good.

My cousins Mexican wife has a relative who had a business with a bit of property to it; cartel people came one day and said that’s ours now! GTFO. We never should have allowed civil forfeiture to take root and spread here. Rife for corruption. Patriot Act encourages abuses while providing questionable benefits back. And the lawfare we see daily is infuriating.
It appears being in Arizona, those in the video didn’t break any laws.
