Country music superstar To y Keith has lost his battle with stomach cancer.

The same way Ronnie Dio went in just matter of weeks.
Same type of cancer killed Fred Rogers of “Mr. Rogers” fame. I think he died only a few months after diagnoses. The big C is scary as hell. I know so so so many people who have died from it, it’s crazy, and incredibly fast. Probably the fastest was my friends husband who went from diagnoses to death in only 2 weeks, glioblastoma brain cancer. Just out of the blue one day he was acting confused at work and that was it. Hopefully they will make major advances in treatement with this Ai

It’s been happening for a couple of years. Not fast…but he was active up until a couple weeks ago. (Not on tour, but doing interviews.)
He put on a fun concert.

I read he was diagnosed last year, maybe it was going on for a while before he went to the doctors. What a shame. So many cancers out there that have no symptoms until it’s too late, and the sad part is most can be cured if found early. I have no idea what the tests for that are.
The thing about gastro cancers (pancreatic, stomach, colon) is that they present like common disorders. As such, they tend to be ignored or treated with OTC stuff. By the time things have gone south…it’s usually too late.
There are screening tests out there…but they can be expensive and mass use would generate more false positives than provide any “good.”
Wow it just goes to show at any time the end can suddenly show up. Fred Rogers of Mr. Rogers fame died of the same thing, stomach cancer, and he waited until he was having intense stomach pain and died only months after diagnoses.

Dio was sick for a couple of years.
