“I’m a lifetime democrat, but I really see that we have the best democratic candidate that we’ve had since Bill Clinton,” per Toby Kieth.

Hate to say it guys but to me this shows he gave endorsement to the usurper.

In 2007 I saw Toby Keith at Summerfest in Milwaukee WI. Great show! Anyways, my sister and I were seated next to 2 women, who never met til that day. One from Wisconsin and the other I think from Minnesota. Anyways, their sons were deployed and saw Toby perform overseas. The kids were so impressed with this singer they never heard of before and convinced their mothers to meet and go to the concert. Of course all we could do was buy them a cocktail. Toby Keith was an American first kinda guy. A true patriot. One of the few who performed at President Trump’s inagural.

See my post at 23. He was an American first. On a side note, just missed him when we were at Winstar Casino at his “I love this bar” restaurant.

He was an amazing singer, amazing man, and a true patriot who loved this country.

He sure was. He performed at President Trumps inaugural along with the Piano Guys and supposedly told his fellow country singers how shameful some of them were for not performing. Class act. RIP Toby and thank you for the memorable songs.

I read that he did 11 USO tours.

For the record, he did more tours than Bob Hope...

Well I wouldn’t say he killed real country music by himself, but yeah he played a huge role. There were other artists as well.

Maybe it died on its own. Performers born in 1930 still had connections to an authentic folk tradition. Performers born in 1980 or 1990 rarely do. Older performers were pioneering something. Those who came along later weren’t pioneers.

Now it’s just “bad rock with a fiddle”, as Tom Petty put it.
