Maybe he’ll make through the next 8 months...maybe not. My husband died of vascular dementia a year ago. His death was induced by Neuroleptic Malignancy Syndrome. Basically as a result of feeding increasing doses of antipsychotic drugs in the late stage to better control the anger and aggression he exhibited (as so many do). Google the term. It’s grossly debilitating and almost always fatal. It’s the reason these drugs carry a “Black Box Warning” about the use of these drugs to treat dementia.
