My wife was talking to a woman at church from Mexico who arrived illegally and lived illegally for a number of years.
She was greatly distressed by the new influx of illegals pouring into the country. She was crying about how difficult they are making finding work now. She was saying that the pay has greatly dropped since the recent caravans from the south have been arriving and she can only find part time work.
She was saying the new illegals are taking up all of the housing and she was lamenting that they have it too easy. She was saying "When we arrived, we didn't receive any handouts! We just came to look for work and we had to hide in the shadows. Now these people are arriving by the millions without fear. They are given cell phones, cash cards, and are being housed in nice hotels!"
I guess now they are starting to get it.
Glad she gets it, now send her back with the rest of them.

Which is kind of ironic since our elite political overlords have decreed that working people be paid an amazingly high minimum wage.
Problem with Dems since the New Deal or earlier setting up ethnic and racial groups as voting blocs (plus unions and feminists) to exploit for power, is that each group is selfish.
Each will someday say “why does voting bloc B get the money and rewards that I didn’t get in my voting bloc A?” Then “Gimme that, now.”

there is no mention of her feeling guilty, so I doubt that she gets it.

That’s actually an important message that does not get driven home to the Latino population in the US.
Unfettered immigration takes away the jobs, stresses the social services and brings down the neighborhoods they live in.
The Latino population living in the US both legal and illegal are the net losers in this, even though this topic is used endlessly my the political masterminds that use it for their advantage. For example, Telemundo (MSNBC) beast on this topic endlessly and spins it against the conservative / Republicans. But ironically, the Latino population in the US are the ones getting SCREWED the most in all of this.
Wait until all those “Americans” find out that they will have reduced or no Social Security, or reduced or no Medicaid/Medicare, etc. because of those uninvited thieves. And not only will they have those reduced or no benefits, they and their children will have to pay the bill for the thieves.
No honor among thieves.
Somewhere in there is a lesson on “intersectionality.” Ugh.

It’s not just illegals displacing earlier illegals, they are displacing all on the lower end of the economic spectrum especially blacks. Yet black leaders remain silent. Union leaders remain silent as illegals undercut union members. And we are continually told that America needs STEM workers to maintain our competitive edge internationally. But what happens to the low skilled worker who is unable or unwilling to find work? He and his family become dependent upon the state, you and I. The US C of C washes their hands of them. They turn to crime and become threats to us all. Trump had it right, we need to screen these people to accept only those who add to our nation.
And she’ll probably voted straight ticket Democrat..then complain again next year.
