Are you not aware of Egypt’s antipathy regarding Hamas?
It’s one of the reasons why they’ve opposed Israel on the matter of Palestinian statehood: because they know from experience that Palestinians, if they were to be forced by Israel to leave the Gaza Strip, would be prime candidates for recruitment by terrorist groups like the Muslim Brotherhood.
