Usually by getting the administration to pressure Israel into accepting a lopsided cease fire.
This administration is already putting pressure on Israel to back off even though there are still over 130 hostages being held by HAMAS.

That’s a pattern going back to the UN’s attitude during Israel’s War of Independence. Whenever Israel was advancing, they pushed for a cease fire and ordered a cessation of all arms sales to the combatants. Israel on the ropes? Yawn.
