They have gay superheroes and girl power heroettes that have godlike powers that can do anything without any effort. They make the old heroes into women and girls or race swap them. The stories are all woke crap and the villains are the far right. Loki gets kicked in the balls 3 times in one show. What actot wants to play the role of a guy being kicked in the balls?

Let’s hope so. The Marvel freak show is almost as freaky as the Let’s Go Brandon! FJB freak show. I think one major freak show is enough and the far-left wing mainstream “media” isn’t going to let the Brandon Administration freak show go.

I grew tired of superhero movies. I’m tired of movies anyway. I don’t remember the last movie, I’ve seen.

Streaming was a huge mistake by studios, imo. With cable, I had everything for one price and a couple of dollars more if I wanted a specialty channel.

You realize that the opposite of this is what killed bundled cable and brought about the fractured streaming market?

People started protesting having to pay for CNN to get HBO, for example. The whole "cut the cord" movement came about to starve the left-wing media channels of indirect funding from bundling with high-demand channels.

So now we have niche channel streaming which is in the process of being rebundled (see Disney+/Hulu or Paramount+ or Peacock).

Marvel died for the same reasons Star Wars died. Kill or discredit all the beloved characters then replace them with unlikable female/minority/woke ones. They stopped doing what worked and did the opposite. They stopped making movies the audience wanted and started making movies THEY wanted.

The second biggest one is that screenwriters are just crap at their jobs. They can’t write movies like they used to.

If they want to do something new and original, they should make a movie about a Revolutionary War officer who is sent to investigate some grisly murders where he teams up with an Indian who is tracking what will later turn out to be a Bigfoot.

The sequels could have them on the case of a Wendigo, and another, the Rake which in the trilogy leads them to the source of the Hellspawn. At this point, they've trekked all the way West, deep into Spanish territory and have enlisted the help of a missionary who is skilled in exorcism.

Man, I wish I knew how to write. This is a good story.

My son mentioned the other day that Marvel had thrown so many movies, series and other things out to the public all at once, that he had "Marvel overload" and was done with watching anything they put out in the future.

Never cared for superheroes. I would not even buy a comic book of them. Classics Illustrated was my style.

First superhero movie I ever saw was the horrid ARGOMAN from around 1967 with a silly plot. One of those movies that after seeing you wish you could get two hours of your life back.

Dying? No. But the breadth of them has filtered out the non-nerds. A little bit of budget control so they can live on just the nerd audience and they’ll be fine. Or a hard reboot so you don’t have to have seen 30 movies to know what’s going on.

Agreed. Marvel is dead, and nothing short of a complete repudiation of their woke agenda will save it. Endgame and Spiderman No Way Home was it for me.
