Is Euonymus a native plant or invasive?

The landscaping shrubs are fine. Some states have them on the invasive species listings now - but that’s the WINGED Euonymous/Burning Bush variety, not the one Daniel posted.

My neighbor has a lovely line of the Winged E/Burning Bushes and I haven’t seen them spread or move at all in the 8 years I’ve lived here. I drive past them all the time on my way out to the main road. I never see them ‘in the wild’ around here and they are hard to miss in the fall when they are fire-engine RED.

They must spread more in warmer zones.
