Cowboys Owner Jerry Jones Must Take Paternity Test, Judge Rules

A judge has upheld a decision requiring Cowboys owner Jerry Jones to take a paternity test as part of a legal dispute with a 27-year-old woman who says the billionaire is her biological father.

A Texas judge on Wednesday rejected an appeal from Jones of a 2022 ruling in a paternity case brought by Alexandra Davis, who previously alleged in a separate lawsuit that she was conceived from a relationship Jones had with her mother in the mid-1990s.

Attorneys for Jones are challenging the constitutionality of the Texas law that would compel genetic testing of Jones. In March 2022, Davis sued Jones in Dallas County, asking a judge to void a legal agreement she said her mother, Cynthia Davis, reached with Jones two years after she was born. The 1998 settlement allegedly said Jones would support them financially as long as they didn't publicly say he was Alexandra's father -- something the married owner of the Cowboys has denied.

- I wonder if he already knows he's the father - he could have hired a PI to get a sod can or something from her and had it tested.

-Since she's 27, and an adult, and already has one more lump some payment coming to her, is their anything monetarily she can get from him?

-If the mother signed the contract when she was a minor, it can't be forced on her. But she's continued to get the money since she turned 18 and 21. Could Jones sue her to stop the payment she gets at 28, since she is not living up to the terms? What about getting back the money back she took since she was an adult? - Even if she turned out not to be his, he signed this agreement deliberately not knowing whether she is his. (Or there was a private test, and he does know?) So he can't say the agreement was fraudulent.

Depending on how the test goes the Cowboys ownership could be severely impacted, if in the best Maury Povich voice “Jerry is the Father” the current wife might have his balls in a vice grip

They’ve been married over 60 years. But this woman started legal proceeding years ago. So, the wife must know he was paying for her all those years. Why would he have done that unless he actually had an affair with her?

I think she’s prettier than the women who wear way too much makeup. More of a girl next door type.

Many a man has lied about past relationships especially when a child is involved, a proven father ship of a child could and likely would upend a story the wife has been told for years, don’t know if it’s true but this young woman could upset Cowboy nation

She first sued two years ago. Wouldn't the wife have known at that point that he had an affair, and that he had secretly paid for this child over 25 years? Is confirming that she biologically his going to move the needle?

Imagine he turns out not to be her father. Would most wives think that makes everything right. He made a secret agreement to may this woman and her mother millions of dollars. I assume he only did that because he there was a least a good chance he really was the father.

If she gets a chunk of Jerry’s fortune she’ll get a lot hotter.

What is the reason for the DNA.? She is not a minor. She and her mother have both been financially taken care of for years and years. It’s not about support for a minor baby or child.

This is nothing but hatred and angry bitterness to make somebody suffer. IMO a DNA test has no reason or purpose otherwise. These women never returned any of the millions of dollars they received. Their character reminds me of trailer trash, wanting to be on tv, newspapers - look at me. .

It seems to be another one judge deal that happens every day now.

Perhaps but Jerry might have been telling her there is nothing to this all I’m saying is fighting over a paternity test if you have nothing to hide seems suspicious, why not just accept the fact and keep it quiet

I think she has a moral right to know whether he is her father. As you mentioned below, maybe she’s not, in spite of his having paid her mother. She deserves to know.

I sympathize with his wife, but the lack of scientific proof doesn’t make him a better husband.

Keep it quiet? I don’t think that’s what this woman has in mind.

Why would she get a chunk of his money even if she is his daughter? She is 27 years old.

If Jerry Jones the owner of “America’s Team”, the most high profile NFL team is your father and refuses to acknowledge that you are her father then I can understand her side if the test proves otherwise then she’s just a gold digging extortionist

He’s 81 years old. If she’s really his kid that will probably put her in line for some inheritance. If only through a probate challenge. And since he’s worth nearly 14 billion even a tiny percentage of that is set for life.

I was thinking that could be the reason. Now that it’s all out in the open, I wonder if they could ever have a relationship, and if his three children would with her.
