Dramatic rescue as truck dangles from bridge

A three-vehicle crash left a semi-truck dangling from a bridge in Louisville, Ky., trapping the driver. She was rescued by a firefighter who rappelled down to the cab of the truck. NBC News' Jesse Kirsch reports.

Fox News reported tonight that the female truck driver was retired military. Did not name what branch.

Highway through Hell series could re-create it.

Like one where three rescue trucks had lines to the dangling semi but one of them started to slip toward the edge of the cliff to become victim #2 instead of rescue vehicle. They were able to change the angle on the others in time.

Well in his defense he is paid to fill air time of which there was a lot since the person controlling the boom of the fire truck seemed to take forever getting any movements done.

Wonder what happened to the truck? Did they cut the tractor loose and then pull the cargo trailer back up? Did they empty the trailer before pulling it back up? Would you volunteer to climb into the trailer to help unload while it was hanging off the bridge? So many questions ...
