That is why they are leaving. If you watch election cycles closely, you’ll see that any time it looks like ‘republicans’ are going to get a decisive victory in the house and senate, a bunch of incumbents leave to make it easier for the democrats to hold enough seats to make it difficult or impossible for a conservative agenda to push through congress. I have noticed this since the 80s.
