I might think meth is a better idea anyway. At least it doesnā€™t paralyze your digestive tract.

Losing teeth makes it easier to diet, maybe. Unless you just consume milkshakes with whisky.

Milk shakes with whiskey.

Won't work. The whiskey curdles the milk. Trust me.

Use a spoon and call it cottage cheese.

Even a metabolic disorder is only good for pudgy

Not what we see

Iā€™ve had graves for 37 years

I was untreated and hypothyroid three years

I put on 25-30 pounds. Extra

A quarter of this country havenā€™t seen their genitalia in years without a mirror

Thatā€™s being conservative itā€™s probably a third

Many people and there is a societal socioeconomic aspect simply donā€™t care anymore and feel little pressure to stay somewhat normal body weight

Iā€™m six five

225-230

Id like to be 200 but Iā€™ve been 272

Itā€™s nothing more than caloric discipline

No disease makes anyone 2-3 times normal body weight

(But you and I hear that here sometimes)

The ONLY person I knew who was fat because of a physical issue had had cancer of something like the pituitary gland and no longer had one, and that person was on a whole bunch of artificial hormones. And yes, would be considered about double normal body weight.

However, that was ONE person in almost 70 years.

I also know someone who has lost over 50 pounds by just cutting out soda and fast food. Not even trying hard to *diet* otherwise, like eating salads all the time or calorie restriction. Just cutting out the crap.

I agree with you on that. The kind of fat we see today is eating and lifestyle habits, not metabolic anything.

I can second that. Talked to my bil recently and he said he can’t get Ozempic for his diabetes. He needs it to live. He said “all the fat women are getting my medicine”.

Docs aren’t just incentivized to push drugs.

They’re incentivized for compliant patients.

And patient compliance is ever so much easier to track since the advent of electronic medical records.

Here’s an interesting test for this.

Patient dumping used to be illegal.

Since the advent of EMRs, why don’t we see what the rate of patients being discharged from practices, which is permitted for non-compliance, has been doing...

I had my teeth cleaned this past week. I’ve recently lost about 60lbs and that became a topic of conversation. She asked if I used Ozempic, I did not.

She said she was beginning to see a lot of gum issues being cause by Ozempic dry mouth.

Having just gone through natural weight loss, I can tell you that if you eat from the meat, produce and dairy departments, you’ll probably lose weight without any effort besides cooking.

It is the processed foods with man-made franken molecules in it that is causing obesity. Potato chips fried in seed oils. Sweets with a years worth of fast carbs. Bioengineered food. Gene spliced ingredients. Your body does not know what to do with these non-naturally occurring foods. What will your body do with cheese made from gene spliced rennet? Bioengineered wheat? Our bodies have reactions to strange chemicals. Some good, like statins lowering cholesterol. Some bad, asbestos causes cancer.

Anyone care for a donut fried in Olean and glazed with erythritol?

Fat and protein are essential. Carbs are not essential. Eat plentiful of natural, essential foods and you won’t be obese.

I would think it even more important for (Type 2) diabetics to control their condition by diet than for just regular fat people.

I have empty sella syndrome

Head injury

Why I take T

I was aenemic and a dyke endo was smart enough to figure it out when others failed

1995

You have to abstain T to have kids

False signaling creates blanks

Anyhow

I was 170-190 till around 30 then the base started creeping lol

200 by aged 40 and so on

Id be thrilled now at 66 to be 210-220

But man it indeed takes effort

I do look around and see socioeconomic pressures affect this some

Rich women no doubt are under more scrutiny

When I grew up poor people worked more and were thinner

I remember as a kid, watching The Honeymooners and thinking that it was disgusting how fat Jackie Gleason was.

I’ve seen clips from that old show recently and was someone shocked when I realized that now, that’s considered slightly overweight, no big deal at all these days.

How things have changed.........
