That must be why ours use waterboarding, extreme heat and cold, beatings at rendition sites, sleep deprivation, etc.... because it gives you low quality information.

When you have multiple suspects you cross reference what you get from the others. These professional information extraction specialists know what they're doing. The art of extracting information from a suspect is much more refined and sophisticated than it was during the purges. And rehearsing what you're going to say if captured pretty much goes away once the screws are applied. The Russians aren't going to play by the same rules as the western countries.

They were not after any truth. A false confession was as good. The main purpose was terrorizing, tormenting, and humiliating people.
