He typically spews nonsense, but I must say this is the most sane statement Elon Musk has ever made... Good on him. People who believe in Aliens only have one problem... A lack of sanity. Other than that they’re completely normal.

We have a creator who we call ‘God’... He is the alpha and the omega. There is no other and we are not alone in this universe as long as God exist, but we alone know of God.

A waste of a universe if true. But there are trillions of goldilocks planets so I doubt this is true. Life has shown to exist on nuclear rods and in the deepest parts of the ocean at 15,750 pounds per square inch. Tardigrades can survive outer space for up to 10 days easily. My guess, with trillions of suitable planets that have billions of years more time to develop life or get hit with a meteor from a planet that destructed with abundant life on it, there has to be more than us.

There’s no evidence for a reason.

Musk is using the Fermi Paradox to reach his conclusion.

Hawking favored the Dark Forest Theory.

Axiom 1: The aim of a civilization is to survive, thrive and grow;
Axiom 2: The universe is finite and so are its resources.

If a civilization is benign, how can it be sure another civilization is also benign?
If two civilizations are aware of each other how can either one be sure of the other’s intentions?

They cannot be sure.

If a civilization is technically able to find another civilization, how can it be sure the technology of the other is inferior or superior to its own?

It cannot.

But technological breakthroughs happen all the time, and a civilization that has inferior tech today could have a breakthrough and leap frog another virtually overnight.

What to do?

The answer is to destroy the other civilization, without revealing one’s own location - a casual attack. Then continue hiding.

Hawking said that reveling our location is exceedingly dangerous and it was best to hide, and not seek out other civilizations.

Are there in fact other civilizations? There are a few very odd things that no one can explain going out “out there”

Like perfectly synchronized stars orbiting each other that actually generate musical tunes when their positions are charted; giant “constructions” that have no astrophysical explanation, and much much more that is not talked about.
