Agree.

Many are from Cuba, Central and South America.

Because baseball is more popular in those countries. (And Japan too.)

Baseball is less popular with kids in the U.S. today, whether they are black are white.

Consider basketball. Non-U.S. European whites are increasing in the NBA, while U.S. whites are decreasing.

But this year, the projected top 7 of the NBA draft only has one U.S. born black player.

The top two picks include a black player from France, and a white player from Serbia.

The expected no. 3 is white, from the U.S., the expected no. 4 is white from Lithuania, the expected no. 5 is the first black player from the U.S.

The expected no. 6 is black from France, and the expected no. 7 is white from the U.S.

This may not be usual, but three white players will be taken before the first black player from the U.S., and four before the second.(Last year's no. 1 was black and from France.

European players are now among the top players drafted, black or white. The top two MVP candidates are white from Europe. (Serbia, Slovenia), and no. 4 is black from Greece, and no. 6 is white from Lithuania.

A U.S.-born player hasn't been MVP since the 2018 award. Last year, a player from Cameroon won, the two years before that Serbia, and the two year before that from Greece. So, this will be the 6th year in a row a foreign-born player wins MVP.
