It depends on how they report other prosecutions. As cross bearer posted, if they routinely identify the political affiliation when it goes the other way (republican prosecutor, republican appointed judge etc) then it displays a bias when they mainly only disclose it one way.
Like when they ignore the race or ethnicity of a suspect depending on the victim or the perpetrator
