“Good for her to stick it to the people of LA.”

The people of LA made the mistake of permitting their government to coddle the migrants and homeless.

They also, indirectly, allow the notion that if you’re doing well, you should feel guilt and give up some of your wealth to those with less.

The well off might want to help others, but government should let it be their choice.

“And now we must prevail on the humanity and generosity of the private sector.”

…upon jail time, fines, or confiscation of property.

A faithful implementation of virtue signaling would require the refusal of ALL state and federal money for any reason, and funding all local spending through local taxes.

The people of California made the mistake of allowing the refuse of America (liberals circa the hippie craze) to relocate to California in the first place.

They should have treated them the way Captain Smith (LA Confidential) treated their unwanted. He beat them, then, Go back to Jersey, sonny. This is the City of the Angels, and you haven't got any wings.

LA voters had a choice between electing a commie or a successful businessman as mayor. Guess who won.
