They are going to be so surprised when VW closes up shop.
Like the proponents of Puerto Rican statehood. Every few years they have another vote.
VW already makes shiite. Now it will be just more costly shiite.
Bye Bye V Dub, we knew ye well.
FWIW - loved all 5 of my VWs, especially the underpowered, poorly made, new style soldered, but very groovacious Mk 3.5 Cabrio. Would buy another if I could find one with solid, rust free strut towers.
VW left Pennsylvania due to unions and the mess up there. When they were looking at coming back to the U.S., they were approached by some PA representatives and the response was basically anywhere but PA.
Labor costs have also gone up in non-unionized shops as they hope to avoid the dread associated with becoming unionized. Guess the extortion will continue.
I won’t even drive a rental car from a UAW company. It’s typically only Nissan or Toyota for me.
The vote reflects the obvious reaction to BIG inflation hurting the buying power of workers.
Let me know when they start making German cars again in Germany.
The worst job I ever had was a union job. I hated it so much it provided plenty of motivation for me to attend college on my my two off days every week and get out of there (BS in computer science).
They make the VW ELECTRIC ID.4.........................

Yup. Once they win, no more elections.what a scam.
Volkswagen Atlas (2017–present)
Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport (2020–present)
Volkswagen ID.4 (July 2022-)
SlugBug!
Lucky thing EVs are in such overwhelming demand. 🤡
I suspect these VWs will soon be made in Ol Mexico.
Personally, I will never buy a VW. They are consistently one of the worst ranked cars on Consumer Reports annual list.
Ever since the Ukraine war and the increase in the cost of Natural Gas, I do not think that they can afford to make cars in Germany anymore.
Mercedes used to still make the SL550s there.
They also make 2 evil SUV’s....................................
“Dont”
I loved my 78 Scirocco Champagne Edition, unfortunately it was cheaply made and didn't last. Unlike the vintage mercedes, bmws etc from that time. If I knew then what I know now I would have purchased a 78 2002 instead. They didn't last long either though, rear shock mount issues.
Probably a bunch of filthy democrats who moved to TN to escape the filth of the filthy northern states.
One of my room mates in college had a Scirocco.
One of my other buddies had one of the diesel VW Jettas. He loved it. It got over 45 miles/gallon.
My whole family drives Toyota, Lexus and Honda.
I am trying to find a Lexus IS 350C. It was a V6 hard top convertible they made from 2010-2015. They made it to compete with the BMW hard top convertibles(328i, 335i, 435i).
They didn’t make a lot of them. They also made an IS 250C. Same car with a 2.5 liter engine instead of a 3.5 liter.
My 2012 Tacoma just hit 109m miles. Best vehicle I have ever owned. Including the two previous Tacomas(1988, 1999).
