Sanford probably used to be such a nice little town. Home to the NY Giant’s spring training (then briefly the SF Giants).

Germane to nothing in this thread, the current Sanford airport used to be a Naval Air Station that was home to the A-5 Vigilante supersonic carrier-based heavy bomber. There are some interesting displays and info available at the now-airport. Pretty awesome airplane and if IRRC the first nuclear capable carrier-based aircraft.
(Not sure about the A-3 Skywarrior that it replaced.)
Sanford is heavily populated by POC.
Amazingly, downtown has an awesome German restaurant called Hollerbachs. Always drop in there when over that way
