Helping write the 1st edition of AD&D is probably the greatest thing I've ever done in my life. I'm named in the credits for the Players Handbook and the Dungeon Masters Guide, and am the hoariest old gaming grognard I've ever heard. Gary Gygax even sent me a gorgeously painted dragon to put on top of my wedding cake.

Started in 1961 at age 12 when my oldest brother gave me his copy of Avalon Hill's _Tactics II_ on going into the service, first playtested for Jim Dunnigan in 1966 (Avalon Hill's _Jutland_) and have credits in board wargames, RPG's, computer games and science-fiction novels. Even snuck a scene into a movie - the fire extinguisher finale to the otherwise awful _The Net_ starring Sandra Bullock.

All as a hobby just to have fun, and share it.
